NONE of the suggestions are guaranteed to work as mentioned in the post itself and this is a rather complicated problem to diagnose because so many factors are involved. None of these factors, however, are mIRC. I've successfully solved 10053 by replacing my router in the past (turns out it was dying), so I personally claim that replacing routers/NIC cards are the most likely solution. Most people don't like hearing that, though.


I've changed my NIC card, and I can download with mirc like a charm. Peeps, this is the solution, change your NIC card or router. This error will be gone!
