On a side note, I don't see why Mice and Keyboards aren't categorized with other 'game controllers', especially now that so many companies are designing their own standards. (keyboard internet buttons, 4/5th mouse button, 2nd scroll wheel... etc)

Windows ought to recognize any input device, and allow the user to remap the inputs to emulate any other known device or system trigger. Eg, people have wanted to use their joystick as a mouse for years and years.
