His server is sending you this right?
"Server Notice: This server is using an alternate server method, please make sure your DCC Server is active and set to port 59. /dccserver +sc on 59. This is a mIRC command."
And can you run your fileserver? (if you dont have one then use the line below this one)
OR can you do a /DCC CHAT SOMENICK and it connects
If so, have you forwarded the port 59 to your pc, the same as you forwarded what ever dcc ports your using.
