It indeed returns an error message, denoting it wasn't intended behaviour on Khaled's part after all. Oh well. Then I can drop the unoverridability part of the request regarding $noop (I'd still like this for /noop) and change the request to just be to officially add $noop() so that a scripted equivalent cannot interfere anymore.
