ChanServ is a service which is specific to some networks. Not all networks support ChanServ.
The most common form of the ChanServ registration command is:
/chanserv register #channel password [description]Not all networks may have the [description] parameter. IF it does, you do not need to put the [ and ] around it. Most networks with ChanServ also has NickServ which facilitates nickname registration. You always need a registered nickname before you can register a channel.
