I have added a /fupdate N command that allows you to set the maximum reachable count before updates, so it can be enabled/disabled. It will always be disabled on startup.

I did see your original message saying the setting would be stored in mirc.ini and I agree that it's a good idea not to keep the setting stored, to always have it disabled at startup, one can always use an on start event if they want to permanently set it.
