Yes, that is what I was meaning. That /fupdate should perhaps not be so aggressive initially. My request is intended for mitigating large scale scrolling slow-down, but not for a small dozen or so lines of ascii art. mIRC becomes unresponsive after 50 or 100 lines of nonstop scrolling, which is where /fupdate really helps out.
