This was what I posted in mirc forums, how can we possibly decode these funky ascii nicknames correctly for things like custom nicklist dialogs

mIRC dialogs do not support Unicode/UTF-8 at this time.

In the mean time the latest DCX revision (not dev build but the latest SVN build) supports utf8 style on all controls to enable utf8 text on every control.

thats how you get the source code
but i beleive it may be too much hassle for you right now to even bother with it =)
