Telstra stuff first: I agree - i can imagine how much it'd cost them, and I understand the reasoning behind cutting of people to force them to view advertising - this just unfortunately decimated the userbase from my perspective and, well, i'm sick of talking to shalldog.
IRC can die, just the same way as the BETA video format - it's documented, and somewhere someone is probably playing around with it as a novelty, but for all intents and purposes, its dead.
