Ah okay.
Perhaps I have then misunderstood the principe how the events work.
I always thought that it doesnt "monitor" a channel just because you have an event listener in the scripts.
So text would be data being sent by server and mIRC "monitors" everything that server sends to it, parses it, sends to specific window and also exposes it to scripting engine by triggering ON TEXT event regardless if there is a script that wants that ON TEXT or not.
