Thanks for looking into it - your issue is a little different from the issue in this thread. In your situation, when you try to connect to DALnet, mIRC notices that you were previously using a secure connection and tries to find a secure port number for the new connection. When it cannot find one, it errs on the side of caution and uses the last secure port number. In the case where you are selecting the item from the servers menu, it really should use the settings for that server. This issue should be fixed for the next version.
