err. on input? I don't see that. in OP's script. I don't know why he isn't seeing the timer output. I checked it on mine and get the expected response


Edit: in testing this script for another purpose, I've discovered that it does halt, rather arbitrarily, after a bit, without notification. the test timer is still in the active timers list, and hasn't expired, even though it's a 1ms timer. I'm thinking it's a timer initialization bug
