Some servers usually state who the server administrators are in the MOTD (message of the day) when you connect. Sometimes if the network has a website, they are listed there as well. Also, try checking the channel directory on the network (/list) for any help/support or admin channels as well.

Also, if you try the /list command be sure to read the topics. Sometimes they may say something like "network help and/or admin channel".

Also some networks support the /ircops command or something to that effect. Others support varied "/who"'s. Depending on the help you are seeking though the network help channel may be your best bet, as opers/admins are usually busy with network issues. If you need their assistance you may not get an immediate responce. So a little patients may be needed.. smile

Your best bet is to first try asking about what you need in the help channels. I've seen that most of the time users who think they need an IRCop really just need other help with IRC in general. You can also try asking here if you can't find a help channel or IRCop when you need help. Just look at all the help you got on this question. smile

Ask in the help channel of the Network what variation of /who is used to find opers (if any).

note: you dont want to do that (/who * o) on ultimate IRCd it will "who" the WHOLE network... especially on dial up wink
