I currently have a script that checks my log folder for anything more than 30 days old and deletes it. The script is plenty for me, but I bet a lot of people would use and appreciate an option like that without using a script or addon. Just a thought!

edit: When you have thousands of log files, scripts that do this can be pretty slow.

Probably not a bad idea. I cleaned out the logs in my robot the other day and there was around half a GB of them.

here's another logging feature i have scripted that I think many would appreciate. /viewlog #channel to view the log for that day, and /viewlog #channel -1 to view the previous day, etc.. its not incredibly difficult to come up with, but I find myself using it constantly.

I suggest this specific droplist of settings.

[*]Move To Archive folder
[*]Move To Recycle Bin
[*]Delete

... After [___] days.

mIRC must be smart enough to detect large influxes of date changes, to prevent accidental deleting/archiving of current logs.

If there is a date change greater-than 45 days, mIRC should wait 2 more days before archiving these logs. This gives the user enough time to realize his mistake, ie, accidentally switching the year from 2004 to 2005... or accidentally switching the month ahead when looking at Windows' calander.

Well. At least I won lunch.
Good philosophy, see good in bad, I like!
