Forums mIRC Help im so confused

i downloaded mIRC from <url deleted by moderator> and they had sum small page on what to do i cant setup the efnet server can someone tell me how to do that? id really appreciate it u can i/m me on AIM shawn my name is <-- thats my s/n and im always on thanx alot

I suggest downloading mIRC again from the Official Website.

Once you have a clean version of mIRC installed, you should be presented with a connection window after you start mIRC (and close the splash/about screen).

If none of the EFNet servers work on that list, you can try one of the following few servers.

irc.efnet.nl efnet.xs4all.nl efnet.skynet.be irc.efnet.pl efnet.demon.co.uk irc.limelight.us irc.easynews.com irc.Prison.NET irc.avalonworks.ca irc.servercentral.net irc.foxlink.net irc.dks.ca irc.weblook2k.com irc.secsup.org irc.mindspring.com irc.homelien.no irc.daxnet.no irc.he.net irc.desync.com irc.choopa.net irc.aol.com irc.nac.net irc.blessed.net irc.wh.verio.net irc.banetele.no irc.inet.tele.dk

For starters, that site is not an approved download site, and the "mIRC" you downloaded has been altered, which is a violation of the distribution license. With the unauthorized changes made, no way we could begin to help you with it. I suggest you uninstall it and get mIRC from http://www.mirc.com/get.html (note to the left side of your screen here you can click on "download mIRC" and also on "how to install" and "intro to mIRC"). You will also find the latest servers.ini on www.mirc.com, which will contain several efnet servers. To get a currently active list of efnet servers, see this area of their website.

With valid mIRC, you can also type in any open window: /help connecting to a server where you will find help with adding new servers to your personal list.
