What happened to the days of IRC RPGs? I joined a network called EsperNet like... umm.. god knows how long ago. But when I joined, there was a lot of roleplaying and stuff. Bot roleplaying was pretty fun. Now though, EsperNet is not much of a place to roleplay anymore. Anyone know of a server that does a lot of roleplaying?

Roleplaying is best done on MUDs, MUCKs and MOOs (among other Talkers out there). If only there was a hack around mIRC's stripping of spaces, mIRC could be made into a great MU* client. Give Go[/color...green]s a try and check out the list of MUCKs there, if you want a simple roleplay experience. If you want to game, then try a MUD. The MUD Connector has an extensive list. - Raccoon

Your guess is as good as mine. I'd have to say Chat Ksomething, since it's basically a walk-through chat world, but where everyone has the immortal power to create new objects and add land to the map. There is also a pretty powerful scripting language with 5 privilege levels (you have to earn the ability to use more powerful scripting). Now what's a MOO?

Whats with your avatar? It keeps switching from mouse to raccoon...
Anyway, I made a mIRCscript MU* client called MOO once.... used a custom window GUI with clicky buttons and was awesome except I couldn't get the client<->server talk down perfect, so I trashed it.

I changed my avatar in the spirit of this thread. I've been doing it quite a bit lately, relating to some post or another... sort of an easter egg. As for MOO, I actually meant the MOO server type.. just another type of Talker in the MU* family. - Raccoon (400)
