I'd like to be able to change the @window name as it's seen in the switchbar.

This means, to avoid script conflicts, that my window can be called @window3425435. In all the /window commands and events I would still use that obscure name..

But in the switchbar (and titlebar) it could have a simple caption. It could be implemented with a new command, similair to /renwin (/caption perhaps). This should not cause any backwards compatibilty problems. And I think it would be useful to lots of scripters.

It would worry me that this is used for deception purposes, so perhaps the switchbar would display a tooltip (when the mouse hovers over the button) showing its true name. I can see some practical uses for this if looks were important, but I'm not that anal to worry about seeing random numbers.

Well. At least I won lunch.
Good philosophy, see good in bad, I like!
