there is a limit for the lines in a custom window, i dunno if it's a bug or not but when u add this lines in normal way (like /aline /echo etc) the limit is 5000 lines but when u add lines with /filter or /loadbuf it is not limited, u can add up to 1000000 lines (maybe more but i can't know cuz when i get to million lines my computer crashed)
is it a bug or something that there is a limit of lines in a custom window??

id assume ur limited to your available memory?

then why /filter is not limited ??

ok let me just say why im guessing so u dont thinkim just trying to look stupid intentionally

first if your able to load the window up up to your limit and then it crashes ........ im assuming uve used up all your available resources ...... its simple pc intelligence ...... mirc itself probably doesnt control how much u can do because each pc would be different ..... again these are just guesses ..... maybe if u supplied us with some technical infio about your pc we could give u amore educated guess. because with what uve supplied so far all anyone can do is guess

@windows are subject to the same Buffer Limit as channel windows (and all other text windows).

You can adjust this setting at:
Options [Alt+O] > General > Window Buffer:
I recommend a value no greater than 4096 lines.

I'm sorry for stupid question .. But whant to know What is diference between 5000 and 4096 ? Know 64*64 = 4096 ..
It's because 4096 / 8 exact division ?

Because it's a power of 2. 4096 = 2^12.

Then .. Why not 2^11 or 2^13 ? Or 2^11 is too smile and 2^13 is too big or .. or what ?

Use whatever you want, he was merely making a suggestion. Set it to 10 billion if you want.
