I think if channels can be list able, why nicks can't?
I know about the /who command, but on a bigger network I can't prefer it. Why? Because Nicklist might be in abc order, and not contain the extras as HR, #room etc, only the nicks!
I know about scripts to make nicklist appear in a @window, but why isn't in the mIRC by default a simple nicklist option?

If you are an oper then if you feel the need just type /who. This will list all nicknames connected to the network if your server supports it. Get prepared to cop a pretty big list of names though. If you are not an oper then there is generally no deemed need for what you want to do, hence it is generally either not allowed or simply not supported by the software.

Why doesn't mIRC support it? Because hardly any networks do.

Why doesn't the results return rooms etc? Because it would cane the arse off the server.

Some networks also have a /nickserv list function where you can type /nickserv list <wildcard> and get a list of matching nicknames. Example:

/nickserv list King*

-NickServ- Found 2/2 names matching King*
-NickServ- KingTomato (*!*ingTomato@mymask.com)
-NickServ- KingTomato|2 (*!*KinTomato@myclone.com)

-KingTomato

I know, I have been translated Andrew Church's IRCServices for example.
So, /nickserv list is allways OpersOnly in some of IRCServices. For example: IRCServices, Anope, Epona, Ausspice. IT can be configure in the config file as
# NSListOpersOnly [OPTIONAL]
# When enabled, limits use of the NickServ LIST command to IRC
# operators.

NSListOpersOnly

-
[07:22] -> Server: nickserv list
-
[07:22] -NickServ- Permission denied.
-

/who is looks like this:
#40_korul czukorka H ~czukorka@trefi-43611.adsl.datanet.hu :2 czukorka
#villanyoszlop uszu Hr@ ~uszu@bot.impex.org :0 uszu BOT System (c)
#impex.org (/msg uszu hello)
#Clickradio R2D2 Hr R2D2@bot.trefort.net :1 R2D2
#RoomService TeamMaster Hr TeamMaste@bot.trefort.net :1 TeamMaster
* MemoServ H* services@trefort.net :2 Memo Server
* ChanServ H* services@trefort.net :2 Channel Server
* NickServ H* services@trefort.net :2 Nickname Server
* End of /WHO list.

It's not easy to separate the nick for a beginner... when I say this way of listing nicknames in the support room, he/she says me ok works, but where are the nicks? confused
I don't need to know one of the rooms he/she on it, I don't need to know his/her realname, host, HR, just the nicks...
Do you understand what I suggested?

That is usually an oper-only feature too. And it will only give you registered names of course.
