I have been connecting to the irc.cuff-link.me server for a long time with no problems. I changed the port to +6697 at the beginning of the year to use the new ssl server. I had no issues with it. All of a sudden it does not work for me. I just get a message "unable to connect to the server". I updated to version 7.52 and did not help. When I go into connect/options I do not see a check box anymore for ssl. Can anyone help me?

There was never a checkbox for SSL. The plus sign before the port number is what indicates SSL. "+6697" as opposed to "6667". Make sure you did not omit the plus sign, it is required.

I did not omit it. I did not change anything. It just stopped working. I can get to the server with phone and and a new irc client I downloaded. But I want to continue to use mirc but can't right now.

I'm using the beta update, but I don't think there's any difference between this and 7.52 on this issue.

It worked just fine doing it manually. I used

/server -n

to open a new blank status window, and used the command:

/server irc.cuff-link.me +6697

The 1st attempt timed out, but retry#1 succeeded.

irc.cuff-link.me resolves to 107.161.19.242 and 107.191.99.39 and 168.235.75.93[my.gshou.com]

Those are 3 different IP addresses to 3 different computer machines. 107.161.19.242 and 168.235.75.93 have an IRC service on +6697, but 107.191.99.39 does not.

As mIRC rotates through these servers, it's going to fail when attempting 107.191.99.39, until it cycles to one of the other two.
