On Freenode, and perhaps other Charybdis and Bahamut based IRC networks that use Atheme or other channel services, when joining a channel that has an URL PROPERTY set, it will be sent to the client along with the channel topic. mIRC suppresses this display and simply squirrels it away into the URL capture (otherwise hidden).

I recommend that it be displayed along with the channel TOPIC, using the same TOPIC color.

I just found this was brought up before in the above thread. I do believe the url information should be displayed in the channel, with the topic info upon joining, as intended by the channel operators.

It was a chance occurrence that I discovered this 328 numeric even existed, while examining the /debug window during a reconnect. It seems like it belongs on prominent display.

Well. At least I won lunch.
Good philosophy, see good in bad, I like!
