I have desired to have colored font logging for my mirc logs for as long as I can remember.

I get frustrated when I am trying to find something in a log. If I could assign a color for my name, or others names, It would make finding stuff so much easier.

people have said to me "thats just to much to ask"

I am asking anyway

Maybe there is a mIRC script that can help you out:

It's definitely *not* too much to ask. It all depends on whether someone (including but not limited to yourself) is willing to script it.

At Options:IRC:Logging is a checkbox "strip codes". All control codes (like colors) will be logged if you uncheck it, so you can see the original colors if mIRC reloads a log (or a script /loadbufs a file with control codes).

Maybe I got your suggestion wrong... what do you mean with "assign a color"?

If you set a nick colour (a tab in the Address Book [alt-B]) for $me, and set its method to Message or Message and Listbox, it will be coloured in logs (assuming that you haven't set mIRC to strip colours from logs).
