I just downloaded irc and have all the right information in to connect but everytime I try to connect it says unable to connect (connection refused). how can i fix this?

or look at this forum and at the top there is a post to read for problems connecting to dalnet.

In mirc dalnet is the default irc network to connect to.

You can try to join another irc network.

Pull down the IRC Nework box and choose EFnet or one of the others. Then press the connect button

when you use the search feature here, to get the best results set it to search "all forums" and expand the date range. there are a lot of posts on this prob, including one at the top of the connections area (common errors)
