Thats is a stupid idea IMO only ignorant programs dont close when u click the [x] becuase [x] means close, not minimize to tray.

PS: if u want to minimize to tray then alt-o/display/options/tray/place mirc in tray when minimized, then when ya click [_] it does it.

and turn on 'confirm > always' so you don't accidentally close the window

numerous programs have this, as an option ofcourse

so I cant be so idiot

I find it useful for programs that I most minimize (either in tray or in taskbar) and hardly ever close

so I need to click (-) to send to taskbar and (x) to send to traybar

its so convenient, dont try to force people accept what you find convenient, its a matter of taste, there are no logical arguements and as fas as many apps already do it, why not mirc too?

I never said you were an idiot, i said i thought it was a stupid idea.

And im not trying to "FORCE" people to accept what i find convenient, I would expect programs to follow what is the setout meanings of items such as [_][][X] rather than go and change what each one is, why not just use [.] its not that hard to add one up there, just uncommon.
I think a logical reason is becuase thats what the box is for closing (an arguement that some programs dont do it, isnt a good one, following someone else behavour isnt justification to do it also)

I may be stupid, but I have only been back with mIRC for about 2 months and am tired of that popup that confirms the exit cause "channels are open". How do I reverse "confirm > always" ???
