Forums Connection Issues another g-lined post

i read maryjanes and all but still confused as crap. maybe i have something different wrong then what mary had? just lemme know and see if you can help thanks.

This is all because you're not sending the ident. Check the sticky about idents and you'll get a lot of information about that.

Basically, you aren't sending the ident because either the ident isn't turned on, or you (or your host) is blocking port 113 in a router or firewall, or your response to ident takes too long for some reason.

The only way to connect to a server that requires ident is to get your ident to send properly. It is possible that there is at least one server on gamesurge that doesn't require ident, but I wouldn't put too much hope in that.

i port-forward 113 and it says i have the ident but still g-lines me.. what is that all about??

You'll have to wait for the ban to be lifted. It might take a day, a week or a month. It's up to the IRCOp(s).

With Gamesurge, g-lines expire quickly after they are set. I had the same problem, at one point, found that my router was blocking 113, contacted the appropriate tech support, opened the port, and was able to connect about an hour later with no problems.
