Cerestes C	Can't figure this one out -- mIRC seems to work fine for hours on end. Connection is completely stable. Open up an internet based video game, like CounterStrike:Source, and my IRC connection drops almost immediately. Anyway to fix this?

DV8 Vogon poet D Joined: Oct 2003 Posts: 129 Under your bed!	It's probably because the game is eating up most of the connection's bandwidth and the IRC server isn't recieving a ping reply (pong) from you so it disconnects you.

Riamus2 Hoopy frood R Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 8,061 MA, USA	You can get a program like NetLimiter to limit the bandwidth use of programs... just limit the use of the game enough to keep IRC running without making the game unplayable.

Cerestes C	Hrm, on broadband, and I know counterstrike doesn't use THAT much bandwith. Any other ideas?
