I agree, that default XP is annoying as hell
It took me some time to turn it into useable system.
But i think it's far better stable than 9x/ME, it's also faster for me, so it's worth it.
You don't need winipcfg, cause you have Settings -> Network Connections (which is far better IMO).
XP is just more NT/2k than 9x
