I'm with you now. I have the same problem though it's of no particular concern to me. I'm on Efnet as we speak (just having a look around) and I have that *dirty* ~ next to my user ID. The CR powered network I call home doesn't require Ident server to run and this is why I never worry about it. It sure is a pain in the khyber if you like a server that strictly requires it though. Especially those that don't allow capital letters and all this other nonsense.

I'm using XP with no firewall, no router, just a plain jane dialup connection as I am not currently at home. I do know at times a server will simply just not pick up your Ident even though it would normally be able to look for it. You can't force a server to accept it, again a pain in the khyber.
