It's possible someone might read this and immediately spot your problem. I have limited 'networking' experience, in fact only my own personal experience
But trouble shooting is something you, yourself, can do to nail down the exact cause of the inability to connect to outside sites. My
guess is router software isn't set to allow in/out travel to the net, but somehow mIRC's connection ports are open.
I have no experience with a router between machines, but not sharing the Internet service. My DSL cable comes into my home, goes into my router, then my 4 pc's connect into my router. #1 pc is 'main' & also where the software is located. I must use the software to 'allow' ports in/out and also to give access for the other machines to use the internet.
