It seemed to me they didnt change anything on gdi draw in win7(it stayed fully software as in vista). All that is accelerated is buffering of windows because of dwm(like in vista) and some form of threaded rendering, but I could be wrong.

Because this could possibly be solved by some workaround in mirc if it's indeed a major windows flaw(some extremely slow codepath maybe? for all I know it could be many things)
