Yes that's why I originally said "you probably don't need font-linking anyway".. you still might, since verdana doesn't have *every* unicode codepoint, but its less likely with a proper unicode font.
I'm not sure why it does the lookup even when it decides to use the verdana glyphs though.. this might be necessary, but it might just be a flaw in mIRC's implementation.
