Forums Scripts & Popups need help adding color to this nick notify snippet

hello...anybody read this post anymore I want to be able to change the charcters and add color and do whatever for this snippet...I'm not sure how to go abouts doing it..I am very new to the scripting scene..plz help..thanks!
