That test isn't valid though, because you're only using one timer to create your results. This is far different from mine and qwerty's, which relies on 5 timers to create a 1 second delay in each echo. This was the control in the test and has to remain so-- it's possible that the actual bug has to do with executing multiple timers at once. Therefore, it is probable that you cannot reproduce the bug with one timer, and might need more than one.

I do somewhat believe your theory about a time gap, but if you look at qwerty's results using my exact alias, you'll notice there is a random jump
