I'm having issues with my DCC upload speed. With any other application I can send 35K+/sec no problem. With mIRC I am lucky to break 5K/sec. I thought it was my NetGear MR814 router so I bought a new one, the Linksys WRT54G. I'm still having the exact same problem. I've been told mIRC wasn't created with large file DCC transfers in mind and that is my problem. I am the only person out of 10+ others sharing files using the exact same config who is having a problem with bandwidth. Any idea what I can do to improve my upload speed via DCC?

mIRC v6.16
Windows XP Pro w/ SP2
Comcast Cable
400K Down / 48K Up

Forwarded Ports
mIRC DCC -> 59
Portrange for Connection -> 6000 to 6040
Ident -> 113

DCC isn't the best protocol for file sharing anyway, and DCC relies on the slowest connection in the transfer - so even if you're on cable and the other person is on dial-up, you're not going to get fast speeds.

There are a few commands you can use, generally they won't help significantly though, or even at all:

/fsend on
/pdcc on
/dcc packetsize 8192

Are you also aware that mIRC is not a file trading program?
