We simply test with what we have. I love mIRC but I am not going to install an older OS just to test for a crash bug that doesnt hurt me. So please dont be so demanding some users who have those os's will test and post. On the other note, we are testing with what we have, as it looks its good to know that this seems to not be an XP issue that narrows some possibilites down if this is for real

What language operating systems are you using, since your error messages arent in english, i can only guess this would be the problem.

Wonder if thats the cause then, since it doesnt occur here, nor in the above, anyone above^ use a different language operating system?

Hmm.. I don't know if the language has got something to do with it. More probably the OS: both crashed tests were on Windows 98 SE and all the non-crashed ones, on XP. Also my XP Home is in portuguese and I've had no problems.

Or maybe its a combo of both language and OS?

With XP just only one window is closed (the right is all window's of chat be closed)
XP maybe has a self protection of crash in program (Microsoft do this)
in Win 9X and ME don't have this protection anti-crash.

If you don't put the event in remote and type /window -c =NICK .. both window is closed, ok ?
With that event in remote ( on 1:close:=:window -c =$nick ), only one window closes
