1. make sure 2nd editbox is enabled
2. enter some text in it
3. go to options under +display -> options -> visual styles button
4. change anything
5. click ok, ok

The text you entered in the 2nd editbox should be cleared. Doesn't apply to default command, if you have one set, and set to show it, but anything after the command is gone. It seems to clear the 2nd editbox of all windows.

Now that's interesting. Could some other people try this? I have a hard time believing that it's just me with this problem.

[Edit]
It isn't as if this is a big problem. I imagine people don't change visual styles that often. I just changed my windows color scheme, and wanted to adjust that. Anyway, I calls them like I sees them.

Confirmed, 6.16, XP Pro SP2.

Marantz, are you sure you're typing in the second edit box? (ALT+Q) With 6.16?

After messing around a bit more, it looks like changing the switchbar buttons option in there doesn't affect it, but everything else I tried does.. Maybe that's what he did.

Ok, after looking a bit more carefully, i have set the edit box to have the command /e in it which is for an alias i made, if i type text after the /e and fiddle with the visual bits as you said, it does disappear, but the /e stays there, so to me it seems like normal behaviour.

Also Confirmed, tiss a bug, since the 2nd editbox clears, however the first does not.. although as you said, i've no idea what harm that would do, but yea. smile
