Is it possible to make mIRC start as a Windows Service? I've tried and failed. Either it times out to start or it starts when you log in for like 10 seconds then closes.

If you download and use FireDaemon it will work - FireDaemon is a tool to make Services out of.. anything smile

what is the difference between a service and a regular process?

A service runs automatichly when you start your computer - think about it as a process you dont need to start and stop and start and maintance...
