Forums Connection Issues Arrgh!! 10053 Software abort is killing me!!!

I've tried all the suggestions listed...even fdisk & installed everything & still getting this error...where does it come from??? Is this a possible virus? This error just started happening & now it won't stop....I've been using mirc with little to no problems until now....is there any other mirc like programs experiencing this??? This is killing my chat & downloads....any other suggestions???

Yes, I reloaded Windows 2000, full clean install & updates, still craps out with abort error...

someone else posted that after trying everything, they ran some virus scans and found several of them. cleaned them out and 10053 error stopped. worth a try, check out the resources in this thread and be sure to run more than one
