The On *:NICK command does not seem to work. I used the default script provided in the help file and that does not even work. I think it is self evident how to reproduce this as it does not work at all, and nothing will happen while using it.

on *:NICK:/echo -a $newnick was previously known as $nick
[21:28] * slaya_ is now known as slay
slay was previously known as slaya_

seems to work perfectly fine on 6.16, perhaps you have something else interfearing with it?

I don't know what your problem is but it isn't with on NICK. It works perfectly fine here as well. Make sure you have no other on NICK events in the same remote file.

You won't like it when I get angry.

This must be a joke, else I cannot imagine anyone could be so naive to think he'd be the first / only one to notice that a whole event is [censored] up

People that are not familiar with mIRC scripting or this board may not know how things work, they may be new, etc. The point is (giving the benefit of the doubt that it's not a joke), someone took the time to make a bug report with the intention of being helpful. To that we are grateful, even if the bug report is, in the end, not a bug.

People should feel welcome to report what they think is a bug, not made to feel stupid so they don't come back again. Although, that's not to say they shouldn't be informed of how to make sure what they think is a bug is actually a bug. It's a good idea to check with friends online before posting to see if you're the only one who's experienced the 'bug'.

Que sara sara... smile

Regards,

Mentality/Chris
