OP Axodious Pikka bird A Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 14	When you ignore someone on mIRC you can be detected if you are being ignored by CTCP'ing the person you think is ignoring you. If you get a reply you aren't being ignored if you don't either the person is ignoring you or he is dropping off IRC. Maybe split the CTCP and Text Ignore command in 2. Make one ignore CTCP and the other ignore Text that way people can't tell if they are ignored or not. Don't know what use this would be but maybe some people would like it.

Maybe some people would rather not have that happen because it lets other people figure out that they are being ignored. As I said before I don't know of any use for this but maybe some people would like to keep their privacy of who they ignore.

Skip Fjord artisan S Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 349 Darwin, Australia	So the suggestion is to have a 'default ignore type(s)'? While it could be easily written into scripts/popups I guess it would be handy for those that use /ignore directly and can't be bothered remembering the desired switches.

The -u# switch specifies a delay in seconds after which the ignore is automatically removed. The -r switch indicates that the address is to be removed. The -x switch indicates that this address should be excluded from ignores. The -l switch displays the list of ignored addresses which match the specified switches. The -w switch makes the ignore apply to any network. If you do not specify a type then only the users nickname is used. If you specify a type then the users address is looked up via the server.
