Try as I might I cannot get mIRC to recognize my voice commands. I have the SRE installed and running. I have added voice commands and code that looks like this:

on *:vcmd:*:*:/echo command $1-

It will NOT recognize commands. The speech recognition in Word works fine though.

Try:

on *:VCMD:[SPECIFIC COMMAND HERE]:*: echo -a I heard you!

Make sure mIRC is the active window.

Check that //echo -a $vcmdstat returns '3'.

Check that /vcmd -l shows the appropriate commands

I tried those things already. I have all the commands in. I have no idea why suddenly it won't understand me. It was working just the other day.

Try run the speech control panel and do some more training -- just to test that the speech recognition is working for other applications.

I had already tried that. Word works really well with it, but mIRC just won't do anything.

But doesn't word use a different engine though? Like I have Word XP with Speech Recognition but when I wanted to use it in mIRC I had to download another engine... can't remember the name though but it was from the microsoft site I think.
