I originally sent this in an Email to Khaled, as the message board password retreival system was being incredibly slow. I decided to submit it here as well so it can be scrutinized and over-analyzed to find the deep underlying meaning (perhaps communism?). Anyways, here it is.

Well I dont know about over analyzing but I like this idea (as well as when i suggested it).

Of course it should be defeatable (noone has ever suggested an option that wasnt met with that by at least one person) and should also allow wich type of buttons (chat send channel etc..) can be grouped. It shold also have a variable threshold say 3 or more are grouped etc..

It doesn't exactly match your idea, however, there is a 'sort' option whereby you can sort what order the windows are displayed, including the particular channel names. Go to Windows > Sort in the menu bar.

You may also like to know you can press ALT+Left-Click on a Status bar window to collapse all of the channels of that particular server into its respective Status window tab.

I have to say I see little need for an increase in the number of lines the switchbar needs - there is a maximum possibility of 7 lines which is more than enough. I just can't fathom how anyone could seriously be chatting and need a lot of IRC networks to idle on, even if their friends have asked them to idle on their private networks....

I'd also like to say it would be great to have an alternative to the current switchbar. Maybe have an option for several other ways of lisintg currently open windows/servers and be interchangeable at any time at hte lick of a button.
