wether this is a bug or a fault in the mirc.hlp i dont know, but from helpfile:

$window

sbcolor returns the switchbar highlight color

this is incorrect, it returns the highlight colortype. it says it supposed to return 0 1 2 3, but instead it returns $null message highlight event

a small fix?

oh, and while your at it, its "highlight" not "hilight" in -g[N] explanation wink

Well it's definitely not a bug in the identifier itself, since if it returned the actual colour being used it wouldn't be very useful. I don't think it's really a documentation bug either, it's just an ambiguous description. It never says it's supposed to return 0, 1, 2, or 3, it simply says 'returns the switchbar highlight color' which could be taken to mean either the colour 'name' or the actual colour. Perhaps it should specify the exact values it can return to make things clearer.

Spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, and stupid comments are intentional.
