Hi,

I had to rebot my computer, and when i logged back on to mIRC, i got the following message in status window:

[12:23PM] Local host: name.local host (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx)

This has never happened to me before, and I checked also my configuration, and that should be right, since I normally login like this:

Have this something to do with Identd options in mIRC itself? I checked and it was showing up connect to server.

Best Regards

mIRC needs to know your IP address for a few features such as DCC. Try going into your options (ALT+O). Click to expand 'Server' in the list on the left and select 'Local Info'. Make sure 'Local Host' and 'IP Address' are checked and change 'Lookup method' to 'Server'. As far as I know, there's no way to get rid of it, but what I just told you will always give you the right IP (unless you set up mIRC for use with a proxy).
