How do I make the text in the switchbar flash (like the mirc default) when there's a message or action happening. I think my ON TEXT events hault it and I want it to flash when text happens.
- Thanks, Kriminal.

I didn't think you could make the switchbar flash, you can change the colours that the channel names/queries/etc. light up when there is activity in mIRC options: ALT+O > Display in the three colour boxes at the bottom. You can also make sure 'Blink icons' is checked.

The /flash command makes mIRC flash when it's minimised to the taskbar. You can't make it flash when mIRC is the active application. A simple example would be:

/timer 1 5 flash example

Use that and then flip over to another window (i.e. this one!) and wait a few seconds, mIRC will flash with the text 'example' in the titlebar.

By default it's:

Event Message Highlight

The blue is the darker shade of blue by default, same for the green (the darker).

You may have some sort of script interfering (I've seen MTS themes that change it), or you've incorrectly set the Message part. It will show up blue for parts/joins/quits and so on, if someone actually sends a message it should show up red if you have red set under 'Message'. It will only do this if the current window is NOT the window someone has message'd.

Both problems you have are because you aren't using the proper /echo switches. Include -m and -l in your /echo.

/.timerQ 1 0 echo /.timerQ 1 0 $timer(Q).com
