Alright, on the heels of
Search Engine Optimisation for mIRC.com forums I submit to the forum posters this suggestion.
Definitive posts which act as link indexes for topics such as feature suggestions - The same old same old gets a little bit of a drag after a while, so lets revamp!

Now all we have to do is post additional links on related posts, and in future posts relating to this one add at least one "Category: Improved Search" link back to this index.
Once a topic gets sufficient indexing, it will probably end up becoming sticky.... well, we could hope.
This also helps clarify things like
which features are in most demand without leading to massive bloat.
Sticking in trailing keywords might not be such a bad idea either
