There have been a number of threads started about this issue, I suggest you search for 'packetnews' or 'ircspy' with the
Search feature. Expand to 'All Forums' and 'All Posts' for best results.
Do be aware that packetnews/ircspy are well known as providers of links for illegal files (XDCC movies/mp3s/software etc.) and we do not help with the download of those files. mIRC is not a file sharing program like KaZaa and the rest of the others (no spyware for one) and it's not very good at doing it, as you are experiencing now. What it IS meant for is chatting and helping and the swapping of the odd legal file such as a picture or .wav file. Please see
