Are mirc's varibles true varibles -- a block of memory, or are they an easy reference to an ini file?

I don't understand very well, but the mIRC variables are stored in a .ini file, you'll find them there: ( just type in mIRC: )

Global variables are stored in the remote.ini file, however, local variables, if I recall correctly, are stored in memory.

While mIRC is running variables are stored in memory.
