$ssl returns $false for a connection which has been set to use SSL, but on which a connection has not been attempted.

eg.
/server -en irc.distributed.net:994
[color:blue]In new status window:

//echo -a $ssl[/color]
will echo $false.

However, if you then attempt the connection, whether you succeed and then disconnect or even if it fails, $ssl will return $true.

Isn't this the same as this bug report you participated in? :tongue:

Sorry if it's not!

Basically, yes it is. The difference is that in that thread the bug was being reported as the opposite of mine - that $ssl returns $true when disconnected at all.

When I made this thread I had that thread in mind, however I had thought that it hadn't started about the exact same thing, and had only gotten turned on to that later on in the thread so I wanted to make a new post specifically about this bug. Turns out I was wrong - I guess I should read old threads more thoroughly before I post.

This has been fixed for the next version.

Krejt: 3.Fixed $ssl not being set correctly if not connected to a server.
