So, here is my desire-list for mIRC.


* new controls for dialogs/new styls
- Dropdown menu
- Treeview
- flat style for Tab, if possible
- list with more than one column/or a new control called 'table'
- docking at mIRC-master(?) window
- nohsbar, novsbar for all controls
- limited lines for listbox, combobox
- named id's *?*
- gif support as icon
- rclick support for any control
- quickinfo for all controls,

* general mIRC
- something like toolbar center, so that i can remove unused icons
- New Script editor, with a little sister of the {} button... i mean a () button
- not eval vor | ..... the new line char. for example 'msg $chan |! OMG |!' post | OMG | in the channel (crazy idear or?)
- no titleline state/argument
- on key|keydown|keyup sopport all over mirc
- more helpfull text in the help file. for example at Sockets, Regex .. *g*

* funktions, aliases, identifer
- for loop
- do while
- something like $sysinfo(uptime,installtime,etc..) for getting information about the OS

Im gonna reply to what (from that list) I KNOW I would use (only one suggestion):

I'd use it for sure The ONLY problem I see is if you code a line that uses the (for example): $chr(N) $+ %stuff $+ ). While that is correct and can be done, it would ALWAYS break the search pattern because there's no left bracket

That being said, Im NOT bashing any other ideas you listed NOR am I saying they shouldnt be added, just saying what I WOULD use off of your list (thinking about it right now)

ok .. but there is a other way... not for self created aliases but for mIRC internal aliases.
like wildcard checking

alias -l omg { return $str(omg,4) }

there can $str checked with an wildcard ... $str(*,*) ..
....

and Tooltips in the scripting editor! so like when u write "$blubb(" it shows the params u have to enter

like in VB!! yay that would be cool
